Dress Code

All students should arrive to class looking tidy and professional in appearance.

Ballet Attire

Shoes: Pink ballet slippers. Bloch slippers are recommended.

Attire: Pink tights and a pink or black leotard. Short ballet skirts are permitted. Dance sweaters and legwarmers will be permitted in cold weather.

Hair:  Hair slicked back in a tight bun.

Contemporary & Lyrical Attire

Shoes: Lyrical Shoes or dance socks

Attire: Leotards of any color, tights, leggings, form fitting tank tops, and legwarmers are all permitted. NO BAGGY CLOTHING.

Hair:  Hair slicked back in a secure style that will remain in place when turning.

Jazz, Hip Hop & Tap Attire

Shoes: For jazz and hip hop, students should wear black or tan split sole jazz shoes. For tap, we recommend Black Capezio “Tic Tap Toe” Lace-Up Tap shoes or Bloch Lace-Up Tap shoes.

Girls’ Attire: Leotards of any color, tights, leggings, dance shorts, form fitting tank tops, and legwarmers are all permitted. NO BAGGY CLOTHING.

Girls’ Hair:  Hair slicked back in a secure style that will remain in place when turning.

Boys’ Attire: Black sweatpants, jazz pants, or gym shorts and a plain white, grey, or black T-shirt.

Tumbling for Dancers Attire

Attire: Barefeet.  No pockets or hoods. No baggy clothing.

Hair:  Hair secured so that it will not interfere with movement.
