All students should arrive to class looking tidy and professional in appearance.
Ballet Attire
Shoes: Pink ballet slippers. Bloch slippers are recommended.
Attire: Pink tights and a pink or black leotard. Short ballet skirts are permitted. Dance sweaters and legwarmers will be permitted in cold weather.
Hair: Hair slicked back in a tight bun
Hip Hop Attire
Shoes: Sneakers. Hip Hop sneakers should be treated like any other dance shoe and worn ONLY in the studio (never as a street shoe because they track dirt and debris onto the dance floor). Sneakers should be white though a bit of color is ok.
Attire for Girls and Boys: Baggy pants with a top of some sort.
Girls’ Hair: Hair must be tidy and secured off the face and neck.
Jazz & Tap Attire
Shoes: For jazz, students should wear black or tan split sole jazz shoes. For tap, we recommend Black Capezio “Tic Tap Toe” Lace-Up Tap shoes or Bloch Lace-Up Tap shoes.
Girls’ Attire: Leotards or sports bras of any color and tights, leggings, or jazz shorts.
Girls’ Hair: Hair slicked back in a secure style that will remain in place when turning.
Boys’ Attire: Black sweatpants, jazz pants, or gym shorts and a plain white, grey, or black T-shirt.
Contemporary & Lyrical Attire
Shoes: Dance socks
Attire: Leotards or sports bras of any color and jazz shorts or leggings
Hair: Hair slicked back in a secure style that will remain in place when turning.
Tumbling for Dancers Attire
Girls’ Attire: Leotards or sports bras worn with jazz shorts or leggings. No baggy or additional clothing will be allowed. Barefoot.
Boys’ Attire: Tight fitting short sleeve shirt or tank and sports shorts. Barefoot.
Girls’ Hair: Hair must be secured in a low bun.
